I Run

There are a few races coming up now. Some close to home:

• Red Clover Rovers Fun Run, Brattleboro VT, May 2
• Springfield Road Race, Springfield VT, May 6
• Race for a Reason, Brattleboro VT, May 12

I guess that's inevitable. I've had more aches and pains this spring than I have had training for my past four marathons. But I'm still getting out there, nor'easter or no. I guess I should be glad that I didn't qualify for this year's Boston Marathon, though I think I'd rather take wind and rain over hot sun. But it would have been nice to run it since it was the 111th year for the race (for some reason I have a fondness for the number 11 in all its shapes and forms).
